Uncertainty - 11/13/20

COVID is getting worse here in our area. A new “safer at home” directive was rolled out today by our wonderful County Executive and things are being tightened back down; people went into panic mode again and the grocery stores (from what I saw friends posting today) look like we’ve got a big winter storm coming. Hospitals are cancelling elective surgeries and I am getting nervous. My surgery is scheduled for 11/23 (in 10 days) and we have no clue what is going to happen. I’ve had a message out to my Plastic Surgeon asking if there is a possibility that mine could get cancelled but have not gotten a response. I’m supposed to COVID test on Monday and start to quarantine next week. We don’t know......there’s a lot of uncertainty right now. This surgery, while to some may not seem like a big deal to have postponed, is my light at the end of the tunnel and my goal that I’ve been focused on since my mastectomy surgery the end of August. To have it postponed would be very upsetting.
So if I can ask......please send good vibes our way that nothing gets cancelled or postponed and that my surgery happens when it is supposed to.
