The Gracie Foundation - 8/22/20

I received a care package today from the Gracie Foundation. Named after and co-founded by Gail Sommer Germain “The Gracie Foundation” has a mission to “gift” women currently undergoing treatment for any type of cancer. The products in Gracie gifts are meant to bring strength, hope, and positive energy to brave women across the country.

Introduced to TGF through a support page I am on on Facebook, made up of women who have either taken this journey before, are in the depths of it, or like me, just beginning the journey, it was suggested that I reach out to them to get on their Gracie Gift List so I did. I received and email last week that I was going to receive one of their packages which was such a surprise! In it are items that I can use now and through my surgery recovery and treatment too (if that is a path that we have to take) as well as a small book that tells Gracie’s story. While I am not fond of being a member of this club of “pink sisters” as we are referred to it’s amazing to know that there are things like this out there that truly can bring a smile to your face and are “just because”.
