While it wasn’t the Christmas we are used to we made the best of it and had a great day! We had our annual Christmas Eve with Hank, Tricia, Sophie & Tricia’s Mom. We miss my Mom & Top’s trip to St Louis, miss family in NJ, MS, NY & NC and miss Tim’s Mom, Marilyn who is celebrating her first Christmas in Heaven.

Tim and I were up before the boys this morning (a first in 16 years) and once they both emerged from their rooms, we had a great morning opening presents at a nice slow pace and enjoying celebrating as a family. My favorite presents today were a beautiful necklace from the boys and this special Jim Shore Angel Ornament that I will probably keep out all year long. She’s too pretty to put away.

We Zoomed with family and had phone calls with others trying to close the distance between us a tiny bit. This afternoon we took a visit up to the cemetery to wish my Pop a Merry Christmas and had two of Tim’s three brothers over for dinner.

The chaos is over, the dishwasher is humming and the boys are playing on their gaming systems with their new equipment. Tim and I are sitting, relaxing and unwinding from the hustle and bustle of the day.

Merry Christmas to everyone! We hope you had a wonderful day today! 🎄💕
