I spent this week reading blog posts about mastectomy surgery recovery and reaching out to a few close friends who have been on this journey before and who I have confided in about my diagnosis to find out what we need to get/have on hand to be prepared for my surgery when it happens. A few of the must haves I've been told are PJs with button-up tops, a wedge pillow & what they call a mastectomy pillow. I found a mastectomy pillow on Etsy the other night and ordered it and the Seller literally responded within 15 minutes saying that I'd have it by Monday. I didn't expect it THAT fast but that's awesome!
Baseball season is over for the boys and our weekends are free again so I'm going to spend this weekend doing what I started to do during the shutdown and clean out some of my clothes and take them to Goodwill now that they are taking donations again. I know I have a few bags already so it will be great to get it out of the house.
