Even LEOs Wear Pink for Us! - 10/1/20

his week has been a little tough with the roller coaster of emotions that come with what I’ve been through lately. The discomfort from the expanders, the joy from finding out no chemo and the just wanting to feel normal again... I know it’s going to come, just not as quickly as I want it to.

But anyway, Tim and I were sitting in the waiting room at the Dr Hulsen’s office and I was scrolling through my FB feed and I saw this post from a dear friend Tim, who is a LEO with Kirkwood. I met Tim through MY Tim when they played on the same team in a “beer league “ softball team in Kirkwood. Even though they don’t play anymore, Tim and I have kept in touch via FB. He helped me after my shoulder surgery 5 years ago and we chat periodically about our soccer playing boys. Well, this was his post today and I responded to him saying thank you for his support and that it truly brought a smile to my face when I saw it. 😁 I’ve always seen Firefighters wear pink shirts in October but a LEO with a pink badge, that is beyond cool! Kudos to the the Kirkwood Police Department - thanks for supporting all of us pink sisters! 💕
