COVID Test Done & More Goodies Arrived - 8/25/20

My COVID Test was done yesterday (no, it’s not that bad!) along with all of the Pre-Op paperwork so I'm ready to go on Monday morning. We check-in at 6:30. My first procedure (a dye injection to find the sentinel lymph nodes On both sides) is at 8:00 and then Dr. Martin starts at 9:00. We have been told her portion will be 2-2 1/2 hours. She will call Tim when she is finished and then Dr. Hulsen, my plastic surgeon, will do his part. which could be another 2 1/2 - 3 hours. A total of 4 1/2 to 5 hours hopefully. We've been told 6 as well but we're hoping for the shorter time but know it’s not in our control. Tim will post an update on here to let everyone know how things go. I will be in the hospital for a night and home sometime Tuesday.

Lots of cards and goodies continue to arrive. Thank you for your support and love! The cards I am putting up on the closet door in our "foyer" next to the family room. It's my "Wall of Love" as I am referring to it and will help me remember that we have SO MANY people behind us through all of this.

We are all doing as good as can be expected. Anxiety is a little high but we'll get through it. The boys started "virtual school" yesterday and other than a few connectivity issues, things went well. We’re taking it a day at a time.
