Best Case Scenario - 9/23/20

I got a call from the nurse at my Oncologist's office and my Oncotype score was 21 so she said that the recurrence rate for my cancer is low ....so we are assuming that means no chemo will be necessary. We already know that radiation is not required due to the the clean margins and lymph nodes from my surgery so this is the best-case scenario we could have hoped for. We have an appointment on Tuesday afternoon with Dr. Sohkn to discuss endocrine therapy and whatever that will entail going forward.

I hung up the phone and burst into tears as I was sitting behind Jack doing his virtual school and hope that his mic wasn't on or the whole class heard me. He turned around and gave me the biggest hug ever!

And then I called Tim to let him know because he's up the street working and was in tears with him too. This is such a freaking roller coaster ride!

So......hopefully this means, that I finish healing from surgery, we finish the reconstruction process in 3-4 months, I go on endocrine therapy for 5 years, being monitored and we pray to God that this doesn't show up somewhere else in the future! Prayers are being heard and are being answered!
