The past few days have been pretty rough but when you can’t tolerate pain medication I guess it’s to be expected. I think we’re done with those now. We got a pretty good nights sleep last night only waking up once in the middle of the night for Tylenol/Motrin and once to go to the bathroom and we slept in until 8:30.
I don’t think I could do this without Tim. He’s keeping me strong when I’ve told him that I didn’t want to do this anymore. I guess I didn’t think it would be THIS hard but everyone keeps telling me that it’s going to take baby steps every day to get better. I’m taking lots of cat naps during the day. It’s been nice having the boys home too during this. I get lots of kisses on my forehead and top of my head right now from them in between their classes which I love. 💕
Unfortunately, we will have to wait until after the holiday for Pathology to come back. The Labor Day holiday just throws a wrinkle into things timing wise. Once Dr Martin has it back she will call us to discuss and then we will go in to see her later next week and schedule with the medical oncologist as well. My first follow up appointment with Dr Hulsen, my plastic surgeon, is next Tuesday and I’m hoping to get some of these drains out because they are not fun!
Thank you to everyone for your cards, flowers, well wishes, texts and prayers. We appreciate them all so much! My “wall of love” is growing like crazy. 💕
