Mom Arriving In Style

Dual celebration today as Jack Henry turns 16 on Tuesday!
We wanted to celebrate him too today.

Not sure how I got so lucky to have such an amazing family!

My rock, my best friend and my soulmate.
I couldn't do this journey without him or can't any one else by my side.

Sending Mom home after an awesome day!
Words can not even explain how special today was for me. To have my Mom flown into St. Louis for the day to spend my birthday with me by a incredibly generous and special friend of hers was beyond belief. The whole experience was amazing for her and for us as well. The outpouring of love, support, prayers, and people bending over backwards to help Tim, the boys, and I continues to amaze all of us! We are so blessed by such an amazing family and community of friends. I was spoiled today from the minute I woke up until I climbed in bed tonight. Flowers from Tim, a very special necklace from the boys, an awesome present from my sister and her crew, a beautiful bracelet, a birthday lunch with Mom, Tim, the boys, Hank, Tricia & Sophie, and then I wrapped up the night with Mason’s old baseball teammates and their families at their “ team ending” party as all the boys move on to High School. Needless to say, it was a full day and I’m exhausted but it was so worth every minute of it!
I am continuing to do better and better every day. Medication changes have made me so much more comfortable. Reconstruction continues to move forward and I am hoping for it to be done before the end of the year if I can (fingers crossed). We meet with my Oncologist again in a few weeks to see how I am doing in my medication and so far ( knock on wood) I’ve had not side effects from it which is awesome!
Bye bye 51......here’s to a better 52nd year!
